We require all daycare applicants to complete an initial questionnaire and book an induction/assessment before you are able to book any daycare with us, this ensures that all the dogs in our daycare are a good fit for each other and can have fun together. We also have additional requirements with regard to vaccinations, neuter status, and regularity of attendance, which for your information is covered in the rest of the Frequently Asked Questions.
Male Dogs:
All male dogs over 6 months old need to be castrated before they can attend our daycare.
Female Dogs:
Female dogs can attend daycare without being Spayed, however they cannot attend whilst in season and will need to be kept at home during this time.
Your pet needs up to date core vaccinations (a copy of which we will take for our records), whilst the Kennel Cough vaccination is optional. Kennel Cough is basically an Upper Respitory Tract Infection in your dog, which is highly contagious and can be an issue for very young or elderly dogs, in most canines it is simply an unpleasant illness, however if your pet has recently had the Kennel Cough vaccine which is administered via a 'nasal puff' into the nostrils, then they cannot attend daycare for two weeks, as the vaccine is a 'live virus' which can be passed to other dogs.
Your dog can attend daycare from a puppy, once two weeks have passed after their final puppy vaccinations.
We would of course expect older dogs to be house trained, but puppies who are not yet housetrained are welcome to attend, and we will work with you on their house training. Our indoor area has a painted/sealed concrete floor so is easily cleaned with kennel disinfectant when any 'accidents' occur.
We require that your pet attends at least one daycare session per week, so that they keep their familiarity with their daycare friends, which makes for a happier environment between the dogs that attend. We cannot unfortunately take dogs for daycare who only have an occasional requirement for daycare.
No, we do not use kennels, our daycare is a completely free running environment, hence the requirement to check your pets suitability for this environement, and also why we ask that a pet attends at least one session a week, to maintain their friendship base with the other dogs.
No, we do not walk your pet during their day with us, they are always safe in our indoor and secure outdoor play area.
We are more than happy to give your pet breakfast, lunch or dinner during their stay with us, however we do ask that you provide the food your dog needs for the day along with relevant instructions.
We are more than happy to adminster any medication your dog needs during their day with us.
No, we do not 'bind' you to any attendance contract, but we do require that your pet attends at least one daycare session per week.
If you have booked for a specific day and need to cancel, we do ask that you give us 48 hrs notice of the cancellation, so that firstly we are able to give the space to someone else should they need it, and secondly so that we can ensure the correct staffing levels for the day, otherwise we will need to charge for the missed session.
You are able to both book specific days ahead of time which ensures you are guaranteed a place on that day, or alternatively you can book even right up to the day you would like your pet to attend, but of course this is subject to an available space on the day.
We have become increasingly busy, so we now unfortunately have days that are not available to new attendees, but please do speak to us to check on availability, as this does change as peoples requirements for daycare changes.
Payment is required after each session on collection of your pet by Card or Cash. If you are 'block booking' 5 consecutive days (Monday to Friday) for which there is a 10% discount, you are able to make a payment by bank transfer at the end of the week, or of course cash or card.

Yes, the dogs have free access to come in and out
We have an indoor and outdoor play space, the door to which is permenantly open for the dogs to come in and go out as they please.
We have a 'chill area' with sofa's, dog beds, mats and a TV (a t.v. creates a homely feel!), where dogs are able to take a nap during their day.
We don't have a 'designated puppy area', as being a small daycare we don't have a large volume of puppies at any one point, but we do ensure all puppies are closely supervised, to both ensure their safety and to help them settle in. We do however have an area that we can fence off and create a 'puppy area' when needed, for times when we feel they need a bit of space of their own, however we find they don't really want to be separated and want to join in with the other dogs!
No, pick up and drop off is not something we currently offer.
We are based in an industrial unit in Marshside, Southport. PR9 9YF.
